The Cochrane Rangers Soccer Club and Cochrane Minor Soccer Association are proud to partner with Bow Valley Baptist Church to donate soccer balls and equipment to the Caribbean community of Bayamo, Cuba.

Members from each organization met on Wednesday, February 26th, at Spray Lake Sawmill Family Sports Centre to donate the equipment.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our local soccer clubs to come together at the start of the 2020 summer soccer registration season and enable a developing country to access the game we are all lucky to enjoy,” said the Cochrane Rangers Director of Men’s Soccer, Mark Brown. “Having proper equipment is essential for any organized sport and we are thrilled to donate some of our gently used balls and gear to a country like Cuba.”

Members of the Bow Valley Baptist Church will be travelling to Cuba on March 8, 2020 as part of a mission trip to distribute the soccer equipment and take part in other charitable activities.
