Womens' Recreational Soccer League History
The Lady Rangers Soccer Club was established in 1997.
The first season consisted of exhibition games against the Redwood Meadows Ladies Soccer Club. In 1998, they joined the men’s Cochrane Rangers Soccer Club which provided the Lady Rangers with use of the Bow Meadows Field in Cochrane and enabling more exhibition games to be held with Calgary and surrounding area teams.
In 1999, the Lady Rangers began their first league here in Cochrane and chose the 6 on 6 format to reach out to women of all skill levels and provide an opportunity for fitness, skill development and most of all FUN!
